Following the arrival of Russian artists Anastasia Koroleva and Alex Pleninger to Tenerife, this much-needed encounter with two important figures of local improvisation, David Paredes and David Ramos, was immediate.
The result is a truly hallucinatory improvisational quartet that offers us two extensive creations by artists who are caught enjoying themselves "in their element." This entire array of "sci-fi" sounds blends naturally, as if it were the soundtrack to a lost Russian science fiction film from the 1960s or 1970s.
In fact, Pleninger is a Russian engineer and manufacturer of modular synthesizers, and Koroleva is a performer, composer, and visual artist.
